I just you ebook about the 21 day challenge and so far so good, but…. The pictures of the lady standing and bending shows the back perfectly straight. In the accompanying verbage, you state, “in fact the back has to be pefectly straight”. In the video you state that the back has to be arched. Which is it?? I wanted to show my wife the proper way to do it since she tried it before in a gym class and hurt her back.
I’m going for the perfectly straight back because that is how I learned it forty some years ago from Arthur Jones the Nautilus inventor. It was at the same time that he was perfecting his machines. He had a quonset hut at Deland High School and my lifeguard friends and I (at his invitation) would go over on Wednesday nights and work out. One set only to exhaustion. It really worked.
Please let me know arched or straight.

This is the best instructional video on the proper swing movement that I have seen so far. I just started the 21 day challenge and look forward to completing the program. I am curious, what do you recommend as an exercise routine once the challenge is completed?

That’s a question for your physical therapist.

There are so many different situations, it’s hard to speculate over the internet. I’d recommend

a.) Getting it cleared by a physical therapist (and maybe getting a corrective exercise program),

b.) Have a certified RKC, SFG or SMK instructor teach you proper form. Often, moves like kettlebell swings are really forgiving on knees, when done correctly.
