Think about it, they could totally do a worldwide spy movie in the Marvel Universe! Kinda like Jason Bourne!
The dumbest thing in the world is that Marvel is so against making a Black Widow movie… Natasha Romanov is arguably the most interesting character in Avengers, with a crazy amount of depth in her backstory that could be mined for a movie plot.
And then, of course, having Scarlett Johansson, one of the biggest movie stars in the world, it seems like a slam dunk… alas, clearly Marvel brass are being idiots about this.
Now, if you don’t know Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, she’s a Black Widow level agent who was previously on the Agents of Shield TV Show:
Who can also kick some serious ass:
She was just spun off of Agents of Shield, with Nick Blood, to do a pilot for a new show, Marvel’s Most Wanted. It was sortof a bummer, considering they were two of the most fun characters on Agents of Shield. News just dropped Marvel’s Most Wanted isn’t happening, so we might not get to see them again at all.
Which is what got me thinking about how awesome this would be:
Ok, so the Widowmaker storyline was actually Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Mockingbird… but I think that Black Widow and Mockingbird would actually be more interesting without Hawkeye.
Anyway, I know that this post has nothing to do with fitness. And that normally, even for the nerdiest of comic book posts I’d find some way to tie it back to fitness, but this time I’ve got nothing. I really just want to somehow put Black Widow + Mockingbird Movie out into the internets and hope it somehow magically becomes a thing.
So there you go.
I mean really, I don’t get how this isn’t a movie already:
And here’s a couple more of Mockingbird, for those that don’t know her.
First, the comic book version:
And then, the Agents of Shield version:
So, come on Marvel, lets make this happen!
