Most people think they "have no willpower". That isn't true.
Most people who look like they have willpower, just set themselves up to win most of the time.
And everyone else sets themselves up to lose.
We are going to talk about the four steps to setting yourself up to win.
Setting Yourself Up To Win is Easy – Just Plan Ahead
Planning ahead is almost the entire game.
Plan your shopping.
Plan what you are going to eat and when you are going to eat it.
Always stay on top of (d0) your shopping after you've planned it.
Always stay on top of your preparation – It's much easier to eat right if you already have prepped meals handy.
I helped a friend of mine lean up for his bodybuilding show.
As you guys known, bodybuilding isn't what I do – but I was happy to help my friend with training in his "cutting phase".
When I went to his fitness show, I was really struck by the fact that there were only two kinds of people in the audience –
1.) People who were really rockstar fit.
2.) People who were totally out of shape.
All of the people who were really fit brought coolers. All of them.
The people who were out of shape were eating from the concession stand – They ate what ever showed up.
The people who were fit created a way to eat rockstar fuel.
Lots of really fit girls and guys, grubbing down on sliced turkey, fruit, veggies, and protein shakes.
I go to a lot of fitness seminars, and the girls and guys there that are shockingly lean, like everyone in the room has to check them out – they always have a cooler…
And it's filled with sliced turkey, fruit, veggies, and protein shakes.
I'm telling you – If you are looking for a fat loss magic-bullet, eating right is it.
It works every time.
You don't have to bring a cooler full of great food every where you go…
Or do you?
If you find you are always getting "stuck" eating something that doesn't fit your plan, then bringing good food with you is the answer.
Do a little work on the front end (filling your cooler with good food) to make it easy the rest of the time.
Four Steps To Having an Easy Diet
1.) Plan Your Food Ahead of Time
2.) Go Buy Good Food Before You Run Out
3.) Prepare The Food Ahead of Time
4.) Make Sure You Have Access To Good Food (you might have to bring it with you)

I couldn’t agree more with this post. While on my own weight loss journey I made sure I had a plan. Don’t go to the grocery store hungry either and put in your mind I will buy healthy and don’t put in your mind things like I won’t buy candy because saying I won’t buy candy only puts in your mind “buy candy”. If you train your mind your body will follow. Some good snacks to keep handy are almonds or any kind of nuts are great and fiber bars. Eating these types of foods will keep you feeling full and that funnel cake won’t look so good yet a light salad or sandwich will. My mindset along with a proper natural diet and moderate exercise program I shed 80 pounds and have kept it off for over 2 1/2 years now. It can be done so never give up just find the right key.

Hi, I’m a girl from Sweden so if my english isn’t the best I’m sorry, I hope you’ll understand anyway 🙂
I have a question about calories..I know I shouldn’t go below 1200 calories. But if I eat, let’s say, 1400 calories per day and then I work out and burn 300 calories, do I have to eat more then? Is it the total amount of calories that counts? It’s maybe the most stupid question ever, but I hope you’ll answer it anyway..
The thing is I have gained about 5 kilos (11 pounds?) since december when I damaged my cruciate ligament. But now I’m almost back on track, (I’m finally allowed to run again!) and want to lose those pounds I gained (and maybe more). I hope I’ll make it to november when I’m going to Australia 🙂
Thanks for the best blog I’ve ever read!

Hey Josh- So I’m a cooler toting machine…however, I have lots of allergies (two bigs ones are egg and vanilla, the latter of the two is in everything, it seems). I finally found a protein powder that is safe for me to use, but of course, it is plain…how can I flavor my shake when I’m making it on the run in my shaker?? Suggestions?
Thanks thanks-
