I thought this was cool, unique, and new:
"That score doesn’t reflect poor effort, but a decision not to sacrifice form to move the weight,” Webb explained. “I owe it to the people I coach to maintain my form. It cost me a bit on the Leaderboard but it’s no big deal."
Sadly, that's why it's newsworthy – because it's rare to sacrifice score for form.
In keeping with this series on CrossFit and fat loss workouts – if this CrossFit Games competitor won't sacrifice her form for more reps, what's your excuse?
Do it right or don't do it. It's more work to do it right – which is why people start doing it wrong when they're tired.
Seriously, you get a better fat loss workout doing the work to hold youself in correct form. If you don't have the fitness capacity to do it with proper form, then stop and rest. Or stop completely.
Again, this is a fat loss website, and I can tell you with absolute certainty, you will get all of the fat loss workout you need doing all your reps perfectly. If that puts you doing the workout at 90% effort instead of 100% effort, trust me, that's more than enough. You could probably get the same fat loss workout at 85% and saving the rest of that energy to work on your food.
Maintain perfect form rockstars!
