Diets are a Distraction from the Real Work

Despite the fact that rigid and/or extreme dieting creates a consistent cycle of failure, it’s still simpler than doing the real work of finding out the underlying issue.

It’s like, it’s easier to read a book with new diet rules than it is to confront emotions, body image issues, or a wide variety of existential crises. In a way, rigid diets are a distraction technique.
