Ok, so I haven't been really straight about something. I tried to get the sales part right and put up a pretty website and do all the things you are supposed to do to sell a book. Which is fine, and people bought it and people love it. But it's not the whole truth.
The truth is, when I wrote System Six: Easy Fat Loss, I wanted to start a revolution.
THis book is the difference I want to make in the fitness industry. It's my magnum opus. Lets talk about the difference it was created to make:
There is a myth about what fat loss workouts look like. Nearly everyone is getting it wrong.
The new world of functional strength has taught people that more work, more extreme, more ridiculous movements is the answer. It's not.
Less is more.
Smarter is more.
Opposite Ends of The Spectrum
On one end of the spectrum we have the current world of fat loss workouts:
- Xtreme, Mega, Hardcore, Insanity – and all other manner of adjective hyperbole
- Random or constantly varied – sometimes no rhyme or reason at all
- Intensity, sweat, and soreness are actually the goal of the workout
- Low emphasis on form or safety
- Intervals or workouts for time as a method of further increasing intensity
- Social pressure to push workouts harder and faster
- Substituting workout *feeling* for workout *results*
On on the other end of the spectrum, we have this new world of strength training pioneered by geniuses like Pavel, Dan John, and Jim Wendler. Lets take a look at the other side:
- Smart, easy, hard, consistant are the adjectives attatched
- Usually the same two or four exercises for long periods of time
- Simplicity and consistancy to add weight to the bar (results) over time is the goal of the workout
- Form and safety are put above workout programming
- Lots of rest between sets
- *Results* (adding weight to the bar) is more important than workout feeling.
You'll notice that what shows up on the strength training side is simpler, more intelligent, and more effective.
And for the people writing the programs, actually requires a lot more intelligence. Randomness in workout programming is a great way to hide a trainers complete lack of understanding of how to get results. And then throttling people is a substitute for getting people results.
Looking Hot and Co-Opting Lessons from Strength (To Get Hotter)
My clients don't care about getting stronger. At all.
They just want to look hot.
As cool as I think "Strong is the new Skinny" is, the truth is that my clients pay me to get LEAN. Yes, they are stronger than most fat loss clients. But *only* because it helps get the lean.
So what I've done is co-opt all of those lessons from the best strength trainers in the world, and then test it with fat loss clients.
I tested it for two years. There is a line somewhere in the middle where it really works for fat loss.
Are The Workouts Really Easy?
Well… everything is relative. I've found entire forum threads about whether or not I should actually call these workouts easy.
Compared to normal fat loss workouts, they're easy. These aren't drenched in sweat, buckets of puke, sore for days kinds of fat loss workouts. In fact, it's about 70% less workout time than most of the big fat loss workouts that are popular today.
That being said, there is no fat loss workout with two kettlebells that could *ever* be really considered easy.
It's a lot less. It's actually the absolute minimum you can do in a fat loss workout and have it be really effective.
Lots of Room For Things You Love
I've had people who are used to working out 10 hours per week get this program and ask me if they should really cut down their workout time to the 2-2.5 hours per week of System Six: Easy Fat Loss.
No.
System Six: Easy Fat Loss is the absolute minimum.
You know how most fat loss programs tell you "not to, under any circumstances, ever add anything to this program!" That's because they designed their program as the absolute MAXIMUM amount of working out that a human body could do.
System Six: Easy Fat Loss, deliberately is the minumum. That means it leaves space – space ideally for food food planning, shopping, food preparation, and food journalling.
Or you could use that extra time for physical therapy or corrective exercise, if you need it. Or you could use that time for yoga classes or running or climbing or martial arts or anything you love doing. You've got the space.
Or, if you've just been struggling with finding time to get all of your workouts in, it'll leave space for the rest of your life.
Back To The Revolution
We are living in a more-is-better, hardcore-is-better, puke-in-a-bucket-workouts-are-cool kind of fitness world right now.
I want to start a revolution where:
1.) We do workouts that get results, and results are the goal of the workout
2.) Looking hot is a worthy, healthy, fun goal
3.) Strength is a smart access to getting leaner
4.) You measure your results with body fat percentage (calipers, DXA scan, ect.)
5.) We create a healthy and powerful relationship to food, and are intimately connected with the simple mechanics of how food impacts results
I would strongly urge all personal trainers reading this to get System Six: Easy Fat Loss. It's truly a game changer, and there isn't anything like it anywhere. That kind of hyperbole gets thrown around a lot, but I've actually looked, and pretty much no one is doing this in fat loss (again, it's getting pretty common in the strength training world).
And anyone who has been playing the fat loss game for a while and hasn't gotten all of the results you want, I'd urge you to get System Six: Easy Fat Loss as well.
Super Secret $24.77 Sale
Ok, so System Six: Easy Fat Loss is normally $47. Right now it's on sale for $24.77.
I'm not going to tell you that you have "FOUR MORE HOURS TO BUY IT AT THIS PRICE!!!!!", but, to be totally straight – it won't be at this price forever.
In the next couple months, I'm going to split up the mammoth program that it is into three seperate books. Right now you get all three together – the main System Six program, the Two Kettlebell Fat Loss Supercharger Program, and The Bodyweight Fat Loss Program. At least by summer, I'm going to be selling them seperately for $30 each. So the sale right now is you're getting three for the price of one. Actually even better than that.
So, even when the price goes back up to $47, it's still a 3 for the price of 2. So that's pretty good also. Anyway, just wanted to give you a heads up.
The reason the sale is super secret is because I haven't changed what it says on the sales page – it still says $47. But when you click the purchase link, the payment page has the correct price (obviously).
Enjoy!
