Most Diets Focus on Quantity OR Quality

This is one of the foundational points from my upcoming book, Fat Loss Happens on Monday.

It's simple, and it clarifies everything.  I forget how important it is, but when it got retweeted 100 times the other day, it reminded me that it really is the foundation of eating to get leaner and hotter:

@rattis most diets focus on quality OR quantity. Reality: Scale weight = calories. Leanness at a given scale weight = quality.

It's so staggeringly simple, once you know it, that it clears out a lot of clutter and silly arguments you see/hear/read about.

And once you're clear on WHAT to do, then you can focus on what really matters – the HOW to do it in real life.

Scale Weight =
Quantity of Food (Calories)

Leanness (at any given scale weight) =
Quality of Food + Strength

Keep it simple.

Then focus on doing the day to day work.

Fat Loss Happens on Monday comes out Thanksgiving Day, from OnTarget Publications.

So, big thanks to @rattis for asking about a string of diet tweets from the day before.  And, also, a good point that if you want to ask me a question, Twitter is a great place to do that.
