Oh This Is Awesome. And it's totally free, so you should get it.
Fat Loss Movement Cheat Sheet
It's a guide on which big movement patterns you need for awesome workouts. Now I always talk about four moves you need for fat loss:
1.) Push
2.) Pull
3.) Squat
4.) Hip Hinge
But here, Jen from Lift Weights Faster breaks down two more
5.) Awesome Secret Fat Loss Movement Pattern #1
6.) Awesome Secret Fat Loss Movement Pattern #2
Now, even though I never talk about numbers 5 and 6, they're in most of my books, and all of the workout programs that I write for my clients. So you want to get in on those too.
And while the first four movement patterns are going to have stuff you know and love like kettlebell and barbell squats and deadlifts and swings and stuff, there will be a few moves in there that you might not use yet.
All of The Best Movements for Fat Loss Workouts
It's totally awesome, but for each of the six patterns, she breaks down ALL of my favorite fat loss movements. So it shows, literally:
1.) Five awesome squat movements for fat loss
2.) Five awesome hip hinge movements for fat loss
3.) Five awesome pressing and pulling movements for fat loss
4.) Five awesome for the two bonus patterns for fat loss
It's a really great way to do "same but different", you keep to the six movement patterns we love, and you have some variety within them. You don't have thousands of movements, you just have the five best. You can mix it up often enough for variety, but with only five, they come back around enough that you can track progress. Enjoy!
Whats funny is that Jen Sinkler isn't a fat loss coach. She does hard core conditioning workouts. That's where "Lift Weights Faster" came from: When people ask her what to do for "cardio", she says "lift weights faster." And her Lift Weights Faster Shirts have become kindof a thing for trainers.
How I "Met" Jen Sinkler
I first "met" Jen when she contacted me she was Fitness Editor for Experience Life! Magazine. She wanted me to submit a response for their Expert Opinion section. It was cool to work with her on that one little thing, she was super smart and totally great, and I noticed she knew and worked with all of the same people I knew, so we kept up over the years, mostly on Facebook and Twitter.
Now she's rocking out at Lift Weights Faster and Thrive as The Fittest.
So I think of Jen as a friend because we talk on Facebook sometimes, and she writes really smart stuff! And anyone who writes great fitness stuff is awesome with me. She writes great stuff about barbell training, Olympic Weightlifting, and conditioning circuits. She also writes great stuff about female body image, and had a great response to the Lulu Lemon thigh gap debacle a few months back.
So that's how I know Jen. She's been a legit social media friend for years =) That sounds kinda silly, I know, but we just haven't ended up at the same conferences at the same time yet.
I just wanted you guys to know that Jen is awesome, and I've kept up with her just because she's awesome.
It's funny to me that what she does for conditioning and strength just happens to be exactly what I have my clients do for fat loss. So it's great that I can give you something that delivers what works for your fat loss goals, but expressed in a little bit different way than I do.
Sometimes hearing it again from someone else makes all of the difference
