You know, you get home from work, you're tired. You're hungry.
Maybe you had three meetings today, missed breakfast and lunch and your snack, traffic on the way home sucked, and your dog ate your homework.
You're starving. Like, power down a whole Taco Bell Meal Deal starving.
You open the fridge… and all there is tons of stuff you could cook, but…
You don't want to cook…
…You just want to eat!
How Fat Loss Rockstars Deal With This Situation
Having good food prepared ahead of time is SOOOO IMPORTANT!
Don't make emotional food decisions in this ultimate moment of weakness – just fill up your fridge with tupperware containers of good stuff!
Imagine if you come home from work, you're tired, starving, and probably pissed off because the radio station you listen to on the way home didn't play your favorite song.
Clearly it wasn't your day…
But when you open the fridge…
There are tons of perfect fat loss meals, already prepared! Stuff you're proud to put in your food journal!
After everything else that happened, this is your chance to turn it all around!
A perfect meal! Already done! Easy! You're right on your meal plan!
All you have to do is microwave one of these great meals, and you're on the right track! You're one meal closer to a lean athletic body and a wicked hot flat stomach.
Here Is What It Looks Like
Four burners going at once – two proteins and two carbohydrates.
Like a machine – one burner is cranking out chicken breasts, the other one is cranking out lean (95/5) ground beef.
Back to burners are doing Quinoa and Brown Rice.
Everything gets sea salt and pepper. Some get basil and oregano, some get cilantro and green chilies. Season everything 'cause eating right should taste good.
Throw frozen vegetables into everything right at the end.
45 Minutes later – there's dinner and lunch for five days!
Bam! Fat loss made easy.
And I like easy =)

BTW: I've only been snowboarding twice, and while I loved it, maybe it wasn't the "easiest" thing in the world, but it was all downhill! And lots of people definitely feel like they are walking uphill both ways in the snow on their nutrition. So that's where the wacky title came from.

Lately I’ve been making meals for lunch 2 days at a time. Usually grilled chicken breast, a can of vegetable, and a frozen vegetable. I’ve noticed that after about 2 days the frozen stuff (Usually broccoli and cauliflower mix) starts to stink. the other stuff is fine on day 3, but not the BC. How do you get around that problem?
Katherine says
Why don’t you just by fresh vegetables? They last longer, maintain their texture and their taste. Just cut them up before and voila easy peasy.

I FINALLY got around to preparing meals ahead of time and it actually included salmon! (i.e. the same as your picture) So, so good. And yes, it really is easy–if I just remember to do it! 😛 Just gotta get into the habit.

Believe it or not, buying the store brand frozen, is cheaper than fresh. I did the math, and repeat it every time I go shopping. I could do better fresh, if I lived closer to a Farmer’s Market, they’re are further away, and the cost of gas kills anything I’d save over the frozen. (Down side to living in a semi rural area) I’d love to buy fresh, but my budget won’t let it.
I steam everything, except the canned stuff. So the texture really isn’t that large of an issue, it is the smell.

My problem is that I don’t like leftover chicken… maybe I’m overly picky, but I thik it has a weird fowl flavor! 🙁

I’m not sure this will help, but if you like the taste of lemon, why not try sprinkling lemon on the vegetables before you steam it?
I know lemon helps preserve certain things better. Try it and let me know.

Hey Josh!
I got your e-book a year ago and love it. I love this article because I’m the crazy busiest person I know. I’m in med school, used to be really dedicated to clean eating, high intensity cardio and heavy weights like you suggest, and it got me really lean. then I started med school and have no time for workouts/preparing food. ( disaster!) on top of that, this semester I have negative time, it seems. On top of regular med school madness and sleep deprivation, I’m studying for board exams (translation- not sleeping much at all). Unfortunately I don’t have the photographic memory of my classates, so I WORK hard to learn all the stuff they as us to learn. Here’s my question: I literally have MAYBE 20-30 min per day to spend working out- I work out at home- should I focus on weights rather than cardio to get lean again since I don’t really have time for both? perhaps after the summer I can add some high intensity cardio again, and get back to clean eating. I don’t have a lot of pounds to lose, but I know that my body fat has increased. the good news is I’m a mesomorph and put on muscle fairly easily for a gal.
thanks so much, I promise to refer patients to you in the future when I’m a doc if you will answer my question! 🙂

MMMMMMMMMMMM… suddenly feel hungry hehe. that salmon looks so good.
It is a fact, you’ll eat what is available whether it is good or bad, so stocking up with the good stuff works.
Great article

Haha you’ve reminded me that I haven’t gone snowboarding in like 7 years.
Great post, now I think I have to go snowboarding (and eat some Salmon too!)
