What To Eat TODAY

Today people wake up in the aftermath of massive amounts of turkey, green bean cassorole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy…  Last night my kitchen looked like a scene from the last Terminator movie!

For my international readers, today is the day after Thanksgiving, an American holiday about giving thanks. After we give thanks, it's basically an eating contest =)

So obviously all the Americans pigged out yesterday, and you were totally supposed to!  Yesterday was the ultimate free day!

Today, I'm eating:

Breakfast:
Scrambled eggs with peppers and onions

Snack:
10 Almonds

Lunch:
Turkey (with three spoons of Gravy, don't tell!)
and a Salad: Romaine, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, with a homemade Italian Dressing (olive oil, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning)

Snack:
10 AlmondsIStock_000007778915XSmall

Dinner:
Steak Salad, with the home-made Italian Dressing

<Or> The same as lunch: Turkey and a Salad.

It's my day two of Cheat Your Way Thin, which has a really cool post-cheat day carb-cycling plan.

Remember, it's great to "cheat" on Thanksgiving, but it's only one day!  It's not a week!

And make sure to get in a good strength training workout today!

Thanks for posting your menu, Josh! I just bought/started the CYWT program on Thanksgiving too, so it’s cool to see someone like yourself following along on the plan too! It’s always tough to cut carbs for a few days, BUT I’ve noticed that my mood has improved a ton. Might just be a placebo effect, but good sweat sessions combined with ridding my body of the sugar overload from Thanksgiving feels like the ultimate body re-charge.

    Tamara you are TOTALLY right!

It isn’t placebo at all – your physiology changes that fast, and lowering the sugar/carbs and rocking the workouts makes a huge difference after a massive free day like that!
